Visit Our Bridal Shop
The idea for a Bridal shop which was situated outside of town and offered a more personalised and friendly approach came about after our owner Lynsay Speirs was disappointed with the level of customer service and choice available when shopping for her own wedding in 2009.
‘Shopping for a wedding is not something you do every week or month, like you would shop for a new party dress or holiday outfit. With everyday clothes you know what stores you like and you know what sizes fit you – with wedding dresses it’s a whole new ball game! I was hoping the bridal shops I visited would be able to advise me on everything I was unsure about and put me at ease, but dress after dress, shop after shop I finished my weekends feeling disheartened and worried that I would never find a dress that made me look and feel a million dollars’
After eventually finding a dress she loved Lynsay knew she did not have the ‘experience’ she should have had while dress shopping and after speaking to countless other brides and bridesmaids she knew this was a view shared by a lot of people.
‘I knew I wanted to start a business that made shopping for your wedding enjoyable for everyone, no matter what your age, size, and taste or budget. Every bride deserves to have that special experience so I started my research in 2009 and in 2011 The Wedding Store was opened’.
